We’ve hosted a family from California for 3 days.
They were heading to Kyoto directly after their flight arrived in Tokyo.
So luckily, they were able to take the last bullet train and arrived to our Inn around 11:30 pm.
On their second day, they woke up early( I think they’re all a morning person) and left around 6am for sightseeing then came back around 3 pm and took a little nap.
Maybe because of the jet-lag that they had.
However, I also recommend their trip style since most of the famous places in Kyoto will be crowded after 9 am especially during this peak seasons.
We also had a tea gathering together at our Inn without their little girl, she was tired and sleepy after 7pm.
I’ve heard their surprising plans for their friend’s daughter.
Their friend’s family live in Okinawa, Japan because of a certain military job.
And our guest’s family is planning to go to see them after Kyoto. ( But the meeting place will be in Tokyo)
Both of family’s daughter were schoolmates and they’re very close to each other in California.
The daughter of their friend’s doesn’t know that her best friend is coming to see her in Japan. “She must be super surprised and she may cry ” our guest’s family said that.
That would be a highlight on their trip.
Erin and her family,
thank you for staying with us and having fun chatting during our tea gathering.
Also, I’m very happy that you said you gonna introduce our Inn to your family members who are planning to come to Japan on the next spring.
Have fun in Tokyo and I hope the surprise will be a success! Goodluck!
