We had the most Kawaii guests from Australia.
They are 4 and 8 years old little girls.
Their mom used to be in Japan as an exchange student so she could speak a little Japanese.
I think , this is our first time to have such adorable little kids at our Inn so I organized a fun event for them which is making a Japanese home style Sushi party on their second day here.
They are very excited and looking forward to making their own sushi from in the morning.
Actually it’s a lot of work for the party’s preparations though.
However , all of our guests who attended were super happy and enjoyed the hand rolled sushi making.
Our guests, Australian family and British girls also had a chance to talk each other and share the precious time together at the party.
I think it was worth to do it!
During the party those little kids showed us a simple magic with a proud face, all of the audience knew the trick but we let them did it coz they were just so cute!
And one more cute thing is that, those kids came to my parents at the end of the dinner and said “ Arigatogozaimashita” which means thank you in Japanese.
Everybody appreciated the event and still talked about it on their next day too.
It was a lot of fun night for me as well!
It was refreshing to hear about these attractions in Kyoto (since they have kids) such as Ninja park , Monkey park and trying a Rikisha ride at Arashiyama and observing Maiko & Geiko short dance show.
I was glad they could enjoy many Kyoto attractions and loved our Japanese and western combined family room.
On their check out day, the 8 year old girl gave me a big hug and a warm letter that she wrote by herself.
They also gave us pink hydrangea flower pot as their appreciation gift.
It was very touching and happy moment.
