I assumed that our guest might be half Japanese and half American since his booking name was combined.
His family name is totally Japanese and he really looked like a Japanese, however he can’t speak Japanese at all.
According to him, he is a full Japanese but his whole family were born in Hawaii so automatically they are American citizen and
he is coming with his parents to visit Japan this time.
But he couldn’t book the same hotel which his parents were staying since he made the last minute decision for this trip.
Actually , there are many big hotels in our neighborhood because we are close to Kyoto station.
I think finding our Inn during his stay was a smart choice this time especially in this peak season.
The hote where his parents had stayed was just a minute away from us.
He could easily meet his parents while they were staying in Kyoto.

I found something about his Japanese feature on his character which is being shy.
However, on his second day here, he brought us Hawaiian nuts, coffee and chocolate as his souvenir.
He didn’t need to do this since he is a guest for us.
That was so nice of him and we also gave him back some Japanese tea packs and chocolates. Lol

Staying in Japan for 3 days was a bit short travel for him.
I hope he will come back again to visit more sightseeing in many places in Japan and to visit Kyoto as well once again.

Mr. Marvin san,
thank you for your stay and I appreciated your thoughtful gifts.
We are actually big fan of coffee so we are really excited to try Hawaiian coffee that you gave us.
Looking forward to having you again.
