Our American couple checked in almost 2am.
However they left 5:30 am to go to Fushimi Inari shrine.
I’m sorry I was still on my bed though.

As for the Fushimi Inari shrine, it is very hard to find the best spot for taking pictures.
Because it became so famous for the tourists and it is swamped with a lot of people in a day time.
But at 5:30 am, they told me that there’s no one there ! Lol

They also joined our tea gathering after going to Yokohama from early morning on their second day.
Yokohama is very far from Kyoto and it is close to Tokyo.
However, there is no problem for them since they have a special JR ticket.

If you use the JR pass which is the unlimited bullet train ticket for tourists, you can make a day trip anywhere in Japan. 🚅
This is the only tourist benefit and I really envy them.

Shinkansen is soooo expensive for us!

At our tea gathering with another guests the Malaysian family, I gave them a small gift since it was the American girl’s birthday and

I wanted to celebrate with the Malaysia couple on their engagement too!

We had a tea with cake and it was very fun chatting with them!

We also got Sake and made a toast in a Japanese way “ KANPAI”.🍶
On their check out day, they left at 6 early morning again for going to Arashiyama.
And when they came back for their luggage, they gave us a Sakura Sake 🌸as their appreciation gift!
That was so nice of them.

I’m always wondering if our hospitality and services are fine with our guests.
However, every time we receive some gifts from our guests we are convinced that we are doing it right.

Lovely couple, Mercedes and Gavin
thank you so much for staying and giving us a thoughtful gift!

Please enjoy the rest of your traveling in Osaka and eat more Ramen !!
( They both are big fan of Ramen.)
