I had a great tea gathering last night with these two of our guests.
As you know, we are having Tariq as our home stay student and we also had one more guest yesterday from my previous company WAK JAPAN.
She is a conductor for an English field trip for Junior and High school students from different prefectures.
I really like this program so let me introduce a little bit about WAK JAPAN.
They basically provide cultural experiences such as Tea ceremony, Flower arrangement, Calligraphy, Japanese cooking class, Kimono and so on for travelers.
Aside from that, they have the most interesting English learning program which is the English field trip in Japanese schools.
Students go for a sightseeing in Kyoto using English with university students who are coming from different countries.
The university students are like Southeast Asians, African Americans and many more nationalities.
This program will bring Japanese students to encourage their English learning motivation and also they will have a chance to get to know cultural differences from each countries where foreign university students came from.
It was nice chattering over a coffee and cake.
I would like this simple tea gathering to be repeated from different guests in the future. I’m looking forward to it.
