As I posted before, I’ve celebrated New Year’s Day with our guests.
One guest was a Japanese, coming from Tokyo.
To be grateful, she’s been looking forward to stay with us and I’m happy to hear that she was able to ring a big bell comfortably at the temple on the New Year’s eve.
We also made a Sake toast in the morning on the very first day of the new year and had a traditional Japanese New Year’s dish “ Ozouni” (it’s a soup containing rice cake and vegetables.)
I’m impressed that she has a numerous of topics to talk about during our conversation which made the other German young guest really enjoyed talking about his country and his favorite soccer players.
From her experiences in traveling abroad in different countries, she was able to share her great advice to the German guy for his trip such as checking the time schedule of the train upon returning to the airport since he has an early morning flight.
He really appreciated her kindness and it was also great to spend time with these two guests on the special New Year’s day!
Ms, Sato san, thank you for spending New Year’s Eve at our Inn and giving us such a fun time. Looking forward to having you again next time
