We had our first guests from Expedia .(booking site)

They were American backpackers couple from Minnesota.
Usually those people are really active and good at making travel plans.

They were in Uji before coming to our place to observed the Sumo tournament.
I didn’t know we can watch sumo tournament in Uji Kyoto !
Actually , I never watched the Sumo tournament in real life except on TV and the same as other Japanese people.

So they gave me some interests at our tea gathering about Sumo side show such as a sumo wrestler will sing and dance before the game starts.
They also got a good souvenir which was a big cushion with printed sumo wrestler illustration and the Japanese kanji characters
“ 大入(Ooiri) on the opposite side.It means “ many people visit here,”

On their next day, they went to a place that I recommended “ Sanjusangendo temple” and they were impressed the atmosphere there.
I think they like Japanese historical places since they also went to Kuramader after checking out.

Now, they are heading to Nara to get some rest and will have a relaxing time at Japanese style of accommodation “ Ryokan”.
It comes with Japanese set meals and the room has a private bath. Sounds very expensive!
And they told me “ It was!” Lol

Miss Lindsey and Mr. Nate
thank you for your stay with us and share your traveling stories at our tea gathering.
And I appreciated that you noticed our location is incorrect on Expedia booking site. I will update it as soon as possible.

By the way, I love the picture that we took together with a big Sumo cushion.
I will watch the Sumo match in person one day !
