We got our first French couple guests at our Inn for 5 days.

Before having this couple, luckily we got the information from free translator app which is called “SayHi”.
So we could communicate with our French guests by using this app.

At our tea gathering, they told us they have 4 kids and
used to have own restaurant and showed their family pictures with their cute dog named “Albator”.
Actually , this travel served as a gift from their son and one of them booked our Inn for them.

It’s always nice to hear about our guest’s private stories so we could feel like we are becoming more closer with them.

As for their plans in Kyoto, they went to a famous Japanese kitchen knife store which is called “ Aritsugu”
and got 4 knives as a souvenir for their son and for themselves since they’re cooking specialist.

The only thing missing was , they couldn’t find one on their shopping list which is a Japanese whisky brand “ Yamazaki”.
I went to the store helping them but I didn’t know that Yamazaki whiskey is so popular and it is difficult to buy it anywhere in Japan.
The store stock only premium Yamazaki bottles which is extremely expensive about $600!!!
So they got Nikka whiskey instead.

They enjoyed not only their shopping but also the sightseeing such as Nara and Fushimi Inari shrine.
And I’ve got some nice appreciation gifts from them, they bought at the Fushimi Inari shrine.
That was so nice of them!

It was a little hard to say goodbye to our guests on their check out day, especially to our guests who stayed here longer.

Mr. Daniel and Ms. Helene,
